Watch: Corey Seager goes deep to extend lead for Rangers in Game 3

Corey Seager only needed one pitch to turn a 1-0 lead to a 3-0 lead.

Seager's second home run in three games scored Marcus Semien and gave the Texas Rangers a 3-0 lead in Game 3 of the 2023 World Series. The Rangers shortstop sent Arizona starter Brandon Pfaadt's first pitch 421 feet into the right field stands, his fifth home run of the postseason. Seager is now hitting .309 and slugging .673 for the playoffs.

His double play partner Marcus Semien got the scoring started one pitch earlier. Semien broke a streak of ten playoff games without an RBI with a single to deep left-center, scoring first baseman Nathaniel Lowe.

If Semien starts hitting again, the Rangers' lineup will start to look very dangerous. With Seager and Adolis Garcia (slugging .738) hitting behind him, Semien providing extra base runners ahead of all that Rangers power could make a huge difference in the World Series. As would Arizona pitchers continuing to throw changeups on the first pitch to Seager.
