Rockies place RHP Noah Davis (elbow) on injured list

The Colorado Rockies placed right-hander Noah Davis on the 15-day injured list Sunday with elbow inflammation.

Davis, 26, is 0-1 with a 6.17 ERA in three starts this season.

He gave up seven runs on seven hits in two innings in Saturday's 11-4 loss to the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Rockies recalled right-hander Nick Mears from Triple-A Albuquerque to replace Davis on the 26-man roster.

Mears, 26, is 1-1 with one save and a 7.71 ERA in 10 relief appearances with the Isotopes this season.
