Andrus is owed $14 million in 2021 and 2022, and his $15 million club option for 2023 becomes a player option with the trade, according to Rosenthal. Davis is owed $16.75 million in 2021 and then becomes eligible for free agency.
Andrus had spent his entire 12-year career with the Rangers. The two-time All-Star has struggled over the last couple of seasons, especially in 2020. Last season, the 32-year-old slashed .194/.252/.330 with three home runs and seven RBI.
Davis, meanwhile, spent the last five seasons in Oakland after three seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. The 33-year-old slashed .200/.303/.329 in 2020 with two homers and 10 RBI.
