The Tampa Bay Rays will be without one of the most formidable members of their bullpen for the foreseeable future.
The Rays have placed RH Andrew Kittredge (right elbow discomfort) on the 15-day IL, retroactive to June 8, and recalled RH Calvin Faucher from Triple-A Durham.

Kittredge's 2022 season has been hindered by injuries in recent weeks. The righty was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 22 due to lower back tightness. Kittredge was activated on Sunday and pitched one scoreless inning before being charged with a blown save on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Despite his struggles to stay healthy lately, the 32-year-old still leads the Rays in games finished (nine) and saves (five) this year, while posting a 3-1 record, 3.15 ERA and 0.85 WHIP as well. Kittredge led the team with 57 appearances last season (four starts) and went 9-3 with a 1.88 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 77 strikeouts in 71 2/3 innings pitched on his way to an All-Star nod.
In 167 career regular-season games (15 starts), the Spokane, Wash. native has registered a 16-7 record with a 3.68 ERA and 1.23 WHIP.
