MLB HR props for Monday 9/18: Pounce on sweet price on Matt Olson

Last week marked our third straight profitable week in home run props, but that doesn't mean we're satisfied. Let's go for four straight this week, starting with my three favorite HR props for Monday's MLB slate.

Nolan Arenado (+520 FanDuel)

Nolan Arenado is in the midst of a lengthy power slump. The St. Louis Cardinals third baseman, who slugged 23 home runs before August 20, has now gone 23 straight games without a homer. If there was ever a time for Arenado to break out of his HR slump, though, it would be Monday night.

In 22 career at-bats against Milwaukee Brewers starter Freddy Peralta, Arenado is batting .409 and slugging .955 with four home runs. It's time to buy back in on Arenado.

Chas McCormick (+470 DraftKings)

In his first MLB start in 17 months due to Tommy John surgery, Baltimore Orioles starter John Means gave up two home runs in five innings of work. He's a prime fade candidate in home run props for Monday night. Let's roll with Chas McCormick, who leads the Houston Astros with a .336 batting average and a 1.027 OP against left-handed pitching this year. McCormick's 7.5 percent home run rate against lefties is also the best mark on the team this season.

Matt Olson (+330 DK)

Matt Olson should not be priced this high to hit a home run right now. The Atlanta Braves slugger leads MLB with 52 bombs this season, and he's on fire with a league-leading 1.447 OPS and eight home runs over the last 15 days. Olson also has two home runs against Zack Wheeler in 18 career at-bats, and the wind will be blowing out to center field at Truist Park during Monday night's game. This is a no-brainer.
