MLB best strikeout bets: 3 strikeout props for Friday 6/23

We continue to roll right along in strikeout prop world, as I went 2-1 Thursday to bring my record to 8-3 on the week. Let's stay hot with my three favorite strikeout props for Friday's MLB slate.

Luke Weaver under 4.5 Ks (-164 FanDuel)

Luke Weaver started the year strong with eight strikeouts in each of his first two starts, but he hasn't topped six Ks in his nine starts since. The Cincinnati Reds starter has given up 18 earned runs and four homers over his last four starts, and he's averaged just 3.25 strikeouts per game in that span. Now he has to face an Atlanta Braves lineup that ranks No. 1 in OPS and No. 2 in fewest strikeouts over the last two weeks. This is a juicy one, but I think there's still value here.

Zack Greinke over 3.5 Ks (-115 DraftKings)

The Tampa Bay Rays are an intimidating matchup for Zack Greinke, but they've been prone to a ton of swings and misses lately. Over the last week, the Rays have recorded the third-most strikeouts per game in MLB (11.2). Greinke averages 6.8 Ks per nine innings this season, and he's gone over this number in six of his last seven starts. This line feels one strikeout too low.

Kenta Maeda under 4.5 Ks (-110 DK)

Kenta Maeda will be making his first start since April 26 after spending some time on the injured list due to a right triceps sprain, and I'll happily fade him in his return to the bump. In four starts this season, Maeda is 0-4 with a 9.00 ERA. He gave up 15 runs and struck out just five total batters over his last three starts. Maeda should also be on a pitch count Friday, so I can't see him going over this number.
