MLB best bets, strikeout props for Thursday 8/10: Ty-ing one on with Blach

You know you're in for a rough day when a pitcher you take the under on throws a no-hitter. All we can hope for is a bounce-back performance after an 0-3 mark Wednesday, so let's do just that with my three favorite strikeout props for Thursday's MLB slate.

Patrick Corbin over 4.5 Ks (-105 DraftKings)

Patrick Corbin hasn't been on top of his game lately. The left-hander has given up at least three earned runs in five of his last six starts, but he's still gone over 4.5 Ks three times in that span. This is a solid matchup for Corbin considering the Philadelphia Phillies have recorded the most strikeouts in MLB against lefties this season. This is a lefty-heavy lineup, and although Corbin will most likely surrender some early runs, he should still be able to clear this number.

Zack Littell under 3.5 Ks (+100 DK)

Zack Littell has switched back and forth from the starting rotation to the bullpen all season. In his five starts this year, Littell is averaging just 2.8 strikeouts per game. Now he has to face a St. Louis Cardinals lineup that's averaging only 7.1 Ks per game over the last 15 days, which is the second-lowest mark in MLB in that span. Take the under here.

Ty Blach under 3.5 Ks (-164 FanDuel)

I think this might be the juiciest K prop I've ever given out on this column, but stick with me here. Ty Blach has made three starts and 10 total appearances this season, and he hasn't struck more than two batters in a single game. He gets the start Thursday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have the fourth-highest OPS and the third-most runs in the league over the last two weeks. I don't see a scenario where Blach doubles his season-high in strikeouts against one of the most potent lineups in baseball.
