MLB best bets, HR props for Monday 7/31: End the month right

It's a brand new week in MLB, and what better way to kick it off than to target some juicy home run props? Let's do just that with my three favorite players to hit a homer on Monday.

Giancarlo Stanton (+425 DraftKings)

It hasn't been a great year for Giancarlo Stanton. The New York Yankees slugger is batting a career-worst .202 and slugging a career-worst .443, but he's starting to show some signs of breaking out. Stanton leads the Yankees in home runs since the All-Star break (five), and he's staring down a solid matchup Monday against Tyler Glasnow. In 10 career at-bats against the right-hander, Stanton has hit three home runs. Let's hope he can make it four.

Matt Olson (+280 FanDuel)

Matt Olson ranks second in MLB this season in home runs with 35, and 30 of them have come against right-handed pitching. On Monday, he gets to face Griffin Canning, who has given up five homers over his last four starts. Olson also has prior success against Canning with two home runs in 16 at-bats against the righty. Oh, and the wind will also be blowing out to right-center at Truist Park. This is a no-brainer.

Ha-Seong Kim (+400 FD)

Colorado Rockies starter Austin Gomber is an auto fade every time he takes the mound, especially at Coors Field. The left-hander has given up the eighth-most home runs in the league this season (22), and 14 of them were on his home field. Let's roll with Ha-Seong Kim, who leads the San Diego Padres in batting average over the last two weeks (.410) and has three homers in that span.
