Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

Who doesn’t love a minor league update?

On Thursday, three of the four Blue Jays affiliates were in action, as the Vancouver Canadians’ game was postponed due to wet grounds.

Let’s take a look at what happened.

Buffalo’s win streak ended

Sadly, Buffalo’s four-game win streak ended on Thursday as they fell 6-3 to the Rochester Red Wings. Ricky Tiedemann started the game and finished with a line of 3.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 7 K with two home runs given up, which matched the total he had in 2022 and 2023.

Erik Swanson and Jordan Romano appeared in relief, with Swanson giving up an earned run and Romano walking two batters and giving up a hit. At the end of the day, results don’t really matter on rehab assignments.

As for the bats, Damiano Palmegiani hit his first home run of the season and was the only player with a multi-hit game on the Bisons side of things. Danny Jansen and Luis De Los Santos both hit doubles, while Leo Jimenez was the only other batter with a hit.

New Hampshire wins again

New Hampshire’s great start to their season continued Thursday, as they defeated the Somerset Patriots 6-3.

There were five doubles hit on the day, with Josh Kasevich hitting two doubles, while Gabriel Martinez, Phil Clarke, and Devonte Brown also hit doubles. Kasevich had three hits, as did Clark and Alex De Jesusm who hit three singles.

Other players with at least a hit were Alan Roden and Garrett Spain, while Andres Sosa walked twice and was hit by a pitch.

Trenton Wallace made his first start of the season, finishing with a line of 4.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K with a home run given up. The left-handed pitcher missed a large chunk of last season after reaching Double-A.

Three players made an appearance from the bullpen, Hunter Gregory who pitched 2.1 innings and struck out two, Ian Churchill who gave up an earned run in his inning of work, but struck out the side. Moreover, Ryan Boyer picked up the save while striking out a batter.

Dunedin are 5-1 now

The Dunedin Blue Jays only had three hits and struck out 14 times, but were still able to defeat the Tampa Tarpons 3-1.

Victor Arias had one of those hits, a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning that gave the D-Jays a 3-0 lead. Tucker Toman picked up the only other extra-base hit, a double that scored two runs. Canadian catcher Nicolas Deschamps hit a single, while Yeuni Munoz and Alexis Hernandez both walked twice.

As for the pitching side of things, three of the four pitchers were selected in the 2023 draft. Grant Rogers , who was selected in the 11th-round, finished with a line of 4 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 4 BB, 6 K.. Up next was Kai Peterson, who was selected in the 20th-round and finished with a line of 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K. Picking up the save was Aaron Munson , who pitched just a third of an inning while striking out the only batter he faced.

Irv Carter was the only pitcher not selected in the 2023 draft that was selected, and he finished with a line of 2.2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 1 K, but improved his season ERA to 1.59.
