Mets' Pete Alonso finds the silver lining about no baseball with perfect Easter tweet

MLB remains shut down for the foreseeable future amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but New York Mets star Pete Alonso is staying positive on Easter Sunday.

Finding the silver lining on a day that usually would be huge around MLB, Alonso shared that — due to the suspended season — he’s able to actually celebrate Easter for the first time since high school.

I hope everyone has a blessed and Happy Easter! Today is really special for me because I haven’t been able to celebrate Easter since I was in high school. I understand the gravity of what’s going on, but there are little victories in each day. Have a good one y’all
