Dodgers' Freddie Freeman Has Insane Goal for 2024 Season

Freddie Freeman's goal this season is obvious — win the World Series. But sometimes players also have individual goals, and this year, Freeman revealed his to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

He wants to strike out fewer than 100 times this season.

The 34-year-old has done it three times in his career. However, the two times he's done it in full seasons came in years he played fewer than 120 games, and the other time was in the 2020 shortened season.

Freeman was three strikeouts shy from accomplishing that goal in his first year as a Dodger in 2022. He struck out 102 times in 159 games and 708 plate appearances.

The chances of Freeman accomplishing this goal are pretty tough considering he prides himself in playing every game. Striking out fewer than 100 times while playing in close to 162 games would be quite the impressive feat.

However, if anyone can do it, it would be Freeman. He has some of the best plate discipline in baseball, and excels at putting the ball in play.
