Brewers starting pitcher Aaron Ashby recovery on track six weeks after surgery

Aaron Ashby of the Milwaukee Brewers has had a tough and likely frustrating time while dealing with an injury to his throwing shoulder.  The talented southpaw dealt with injuries during the second half of the 2022 season and initially was shut down during the offseason with what was thought to be shoulder fatigue that presented itself during an offseason throwing program.

Upon returning to spring training camp he underwent more treatment and testing.  Eventually the decision was made to have surgery on his shoulder to address a labral pathology.  In early April he had the surgery and per the reporting of Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Jounral Sentinel this upcoming Friday May 19, 2023 will mark his six week post operative date.

Thankfully the Brewers have provided some good news regarding his recovery so far.

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Aaron Ashby is recovering well and is on track six weeks following shoulder surgery.

Starting Monday Aaron Ashby will begin throwing.  This is on track with the expected rehab course following the surgical procedure that he had performed.  It will still be quite a while before he is back in game action.  The Brewers initially indicated that at best a return to a big league mound will be late in the season, but the news regarding his recovery so far is very reassuring.
