Angels Pitcher Reportedly Suffered A Serious Injury In Sunday’s Brawl

In the aftermath of Sunday’s brawl between the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels, the repercussions have started to set in.

Several players and coaches have had suspensions levied their way.

But for the Angels, there’s a little more to be concerned about than suspensions.

One of their key relievers, Archie Bradley, will be shut down for the next four weeks after suffering a serious injury in the brawl.

Bradley reportedly suffered a broken elbow after tripping over the dugout railing on his way out onto the field to join the fight.

Angels insider Rhett Bollinger reported the news on Twitter.

Angels Shut Down Bradley

The veteran right-hander is 0-1 on the season and has posted a less than stellar 4.82 ERA in 21 appearances this year.

Still, Bradley brings veteran experience to any bullpen, and it hurts for the Angels to lose him.

If only he had just walked up the steps to get out onto the field instead of trying to hop over the dugout railing.

Hindsight is 20/20 after all.

But it seems as though Bradley was severely injured during the brawl, and that’s not a good sign for him or the Angels.

Again, Bollinger tweeted that Bradley would be shut down for at least the next four weeks, and that’s before he can even begin a throwing program.

Going over the dugout railing is always dangerous, and it came back to haunt Bradley on Sunday as he darted out onto the field.

The Angels just can’t seem to catch a break right now.

They were playing good baseball, then lost 14 in a row, and have yet to regain their footing.

Now, one of their key relievers is going to miss significant time with an elbow injury.
