The Los Angeles Dodgers announced their group of non-roster invitees to 2023 Spring Training, which consists of 20 players and includes a blend of prospects, veterans and organizational depth.

The most notable prospects being invited to Major League Spring Training are Dalton Rushing and River Ryan. Rushing has recently been ranked among the top prospects in MLB, while Ryan is a fast riser in the system.

Trey Sweeney, who was acquired from the New York Yankees earlier this offseason, was also invited to Major League camp.

The Dodgers added numerous players with MLB experience on MiLB deals this offseason, including Nabil Crismatt, Stephen Gonsalves, Jesse Hahn, Elisier Hernandez, Eduardo Salazar, T.J. McFarland, Chris Okey, Jonathan Araúz, Kevin Padlo and Travis Swaggerty, all of whom will be in camp.

Daniel Hudson also returned on a Minor League deal as he looks to return from missing most of the 2023 season due to injuries. He figures to have the best chance to make the Dodgers Opening Day roster among the non-roster invitees.

The competition for roster spots on the Dodgers is going to be minimal as their roster is mostly filled out, aside from a possible bullpen spot or the case of a potential injury.

The Dodgers also have a packed 40-man roster, making it even more challenging for non-roster invitees to earn a spot out of Spring Training.

However, these players have the chance to prove their value to make an impact for the Dodgers down the line or catch the eye of another club to earn a chance there.

Dodgers Spring Training begins February 9 when pitchers and catchers hold their first workout at Camelback Ranch. The Dodgers’ first full-squad workout then takes place February 14.

This spring comes with a slightly earlier start for the Dodgers due to opening the season in South Korea with the Seoul Series against the San Diego Padres on March 20 and 21.

The Dodgers begin Cactus League play Thursday, February 22, with a road matchup against the Padres. L.A. then faces San Diego the following afternoon for their first home game of the spring.
