'Unranked Heavyweight Co-Mains. Why.' - MMA Fans Unimpressed As Williams Outpoints Tafa At UFC Fight Night: Ribas vs. Namajunas
Dustin Safranek-USA TODAY Sports

Karl Williams continues to develop and stays unbeaten in his young career, defeating Justin Tafa in the co-main event of Saturday's UFC Fight Night.

Tafa got off to a decent start early with some powerful shots, but a missed knee attempt resulted in Williams scoring his first takedown attempt. The American was even able to take his Australian counterpart down four times in the round.

Ultimately, Williams scored seven takedowns during the fight -- and he rarely seemed in trouble, using his wrestling to control the action en route to a one-sided decision win.

MMA Community Reacts To Williams' Domination In Lackluster UFC Fight Night Co-Headliner

Since entering the UFC after a win over Jimmy Lawson on Dana White's Contender Series , Williams had scored unanimous decision wins over Lukasz Brzeski and Chase Sherman at UFC Las Vegas and UFC Charlotte, respectively.

Tafa, who enters this fight on short notice in place of his brother, Junior, most recently fought at UFC 293 in Sydney, knocking out Austen Lane in less than 90 seconds.
