Herro, Gourde are keys to this cross-sport parlay

We hope you had a wonderful weekend however you chose to spend it! We're back to get going on a fresh week as February wanes, and it seems only right to find us a winner on this fine Monday.

Cross-sports parlay to build some bankroll for the week ahead

First leg: Tyler Herro 2+ threes made

Tyler Herro and the Heat should be able to find success from deep, as Sacramento allows opponents to shoot the highest percentage from long-ranger against them, leading to the eighth-most threes allowed per game.

Naturally, we turn to Herro, who is averaging 3.3 made threes on 8.1 three-point attempts per game. By all means, consider his standard over/under. We're watering him down a tad here. He has 2+ threes in 86% of games this season and three straight meetings with Sacramento.

When he finds 6+ attempts from deep, Herro finished with at least two made treys in 91% of his games the past two seasons.

Second leg: Yanni Gourde 2+ shots on goal

Seattle's Gourde is worth a look here. He has piled up 13 shots on goal in his last four games and has 2+ SOG in 13 of his last 15 on home ice.

The Boston Bruins have been leaking shots of late, allowing 38 per game across their past five games. They're notably struggling against centers, allowing the sixth-most to the position in the last 10 games, and that's where Gourde resides.

Gourde has 2+ shots in three straight meetings with Boston and should have plenty of opportunities to hit this mark tonight.

Together, these two comes in at +100 on the nose on FanDuel. Simple bankroll builder for Monday is all we're asking for here. Good luck!

In the news ...

NFL Draft Combine to start this week — NFL Draft prospects have started trickling into Indianapolis for this week's combine, which will take place today through March 4. A total of 321 prospects were invited to the combine and will go through typical tests such as the 40-yard dash and bench press, plus meet with potential teams. One name to monitor is Heisman winning LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels has flown up draft boards after his monster season that saw him throw for 5,000+ total yards and 50 touchdowns, and there does appear to be some betting value on when the passer gets taken in April's draft. You can currently grab Daniels at +120 to go second and +140 to go third. It seems incredibly likely he's taken with one of those picks, and by spreading your net on both, you pocket a pair of plus-money plays to yield some profit should he go near the top of the board.

Patrick Kane scores OT game-winner in first game back in Chicago — Could it have been more poetic on Sunday? Patrick Kane finally made his return to Chicago, the place where he won three Stanley Cups with the team and scored 446 goals. Now a member of the Detroit Red Wings, Kane ended his return game as beautifully as one could: an OT game-winning goal. Kane has been on a tear for Detroit since returning from injury, notching 1+ point in all eight games since he came back from a brief stint on IR. Detroit has won five straight games and now own the top wild-card spot in the East. The Red Wings are currently -400 to make the playoffs.

Getting out ahead of the AL Cy Young race — Yardbarker's own Matt Wiesenfeld has been digging into some MLB futures for us now that spring training has started, and his most recent analysis dug into the American League Cy Young race. There appear to be some bets worth backing, namely Kevin Gausman of Toronto to win at +700. Third in AL Cy Young voting last season thanks to leading the league in strikeouts, Gausman should be in a good spot to keep it rolling. Luis Castillo of Seattle is another name worth noting at +1300. The Mariners ace seems to be trending toward 15+ wins, 200+ innings and 200+ Ks. The only pitcher to hit those benchmarks last season was Gerrit Cole, who won the award.
