USC Football: Miller Moss Pinpoints Blame For 3rd Quarter Louisville Rally On This Trojan
USA TODAY Sports

USC quarterback Miller Moss stole the show on Wednesday night's Holiday Bowl victory. Moss couldn't do no wrong, and it was hard to believe considering how his first drive went and how it was his first career start.

Miller was balling all game long, aside from the first drive. He led the Trojans to touchdown after touchdown, except for a drive in the third quarter. The Trojans had a chance to stretch their lead from 14 to 21 at the beginning of the third quarter, but Miller threw one right to the Louisville defense, which they ended up scoring six.

That was the only flaw in what was a flawless game from Miller. After the game, he had difficulty not bringing it up and told LA Times staff writer Thuc Nhi Nguyen that the pass was 100% his fault.

“One-hundred percent my fault on that swing,” Moss said. “Turning the ball over in the red zone is not winning football, but I also had the mindset that I’m not going to allow my mistake to be the reason we don’t win this game.”

Outside of that interception, Moss was slicing and dicing the Louisville defense. Miller completed 23 of his 33 passes for 372 yards and set a USC bowl record with six touchdown passes.

Although we won't dwell on the one pick, you love to see how Moss cares about it. It shows how competitive the kid is and how much he cares about winning. The performance was excellent, but you can tell how much more the win meant to him.

You love to see it, and hopefully, this is only the beginning for Moss.
