Ex-Washington State quarterback Cam Ward, who was set to be one of the top transfer portal prospects on the market this season, is going pro.

Per 247Sports, Ward made the official announcement that he is departing for the NFL today.

With Heisman Trophy-winning USC Trojans QB1 Caleb Williams likely to declare for the draft himself one of these days, the Cardinal and Gold find themselves in need of prospective reinforcements. It's a bummer that Ward is thus off the board.

Junior Miller Moss, his backup, had a great inaugural start for USC  during the team's Holiday Bowl win over the Louisville Cardinals last Wednesday. But is he a true blue chipper? Is he the answer?

Moss notched a Trojans bowl-best six touchdowns (against just one interception) and 372 total passing yards, while nailing 23-of-33 pass tries.
