With significant turnover across the defensive line, several names have surfaced during the offseason as potential future stars for the Maize and Blue. One promising candidate for the Wolverines is Michigan football breakout star DT, Kenneth Grant. He is being touted as a top-tier player for the Wolverines this fall as they pursue a third-straight Big Ten title and more in the upcoming season. During a fall camp media session today, fellow defender Jaylen Harrell (senior, DE) had numerous positive remarks about Grant in anticipation of the season.
Kenneth Grant possesses an imposing presence and appears to be precisely what Michigan football requires at the heart of its formidable defensive line. Here’s what senior edge rusher Jaylen Harrell had to share about Grant earlier today during the initial Michigan football fall camp media session.
“This fall camp, (Kenneth Grant) has really taken a big step,” said senior defender Jaylen Harrell when asked about Grant’s development earlier today. “He was good last year, but I feel like he took that next step.
“I see him out there, he’s somewhere in that backfield where there’s pass, run, he’s getting back there and he’s causing havoc. He’s making a lot of disruptions. Kenneth is gonna be a dog for sure this year.”
As a freshman in 2022, Michigan football got 14 games of action out of Kenneth Grant, with 13 of these appearances being along the Wolverines’ defensive line. As of the start of fall camp, Grant is looking massive, measuring in at 6-foot-3, 339-pounds as he contends for a starting role throughout the coming weeks.
