On Tuesday, Pitt landed its second transfer commitment of the week as Houston transfer Damian Dunn announced that he will be joining the Panthers.

Dunn is a 6-foot-5 guard visited alongside Pitt commit Cam Corhen this past weekend. Dunn averaged 6.4 points per game this past season for the Cougars after transferring in from Temple last year. In 2022-23, Dunn averaged 15.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game for the Owls, shooting 35% from three-point range. While at Temple, Dunn increased his three-point shooting statistics each year of his career, going from a 19% three-point shooter to a 35% three-point shooter by the end of his time there.

Dunn had nine games in double-digit scoring this year for the Cougars, including a 12-point effort late in the season in a dominant win over No. 14 Kansas.

Dunn joins a back court led by Jaland Lowe and Ishmael Leggett. The Panthers now have two scholarships remaining after Dunn’s commitment. With the additions of Dunn and Corhen, Jeff Capel has now brought in five high-major transfers while coaching Pitt: Jamarius Burton (Texas Tech), Greg Elliott (Marquette), Blake Hinson (Iowa State), Cam Corhen (Florida State), and Dunn (Houston).
