Saskatchewan Roughriders coach Corey Macy has stayed busy, making multiple roster transactions since Thursday.

The team agreed to one-year contract extensions with running back Frankie Hickson and defensive lineman Charbel Dabire. Saskatchewan signed three additional players, including former NFL wide receiver Geronimo Allison, linebacker K.D. Davis and defensive lineman Roman Lee Harrison. Finally, the Roughriders released wide receiver Jake Wieneke.

Hickson has played for the Roughriders for two seasons, rushing for 533 yards in 2022 and 157 yards in 2023. He’s also added 158 receiving yards and 261 kickoff return yards during that time. Hickson went to college at Liberty, where he ran for 2,898 yards and 30 touchdowns in five seasons.

Dabire was selected by the Riders in the fifth round of the 2019 CFL Draft. In 55 games, Dabire has registered 37 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles and six sacks. His stats last season include 15 total tackles and two sacks.

Allison joined the Green Bay Packers in 2016 as an undrafted free agent, playing in 41 games and starting in 14 of them. Allison also played for the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons up until 2022. His NFL career stats include 89 receptions for 1,045 yards and six touchdowns. He recently played for the Vegas Vipers of the XFL last year, racking up 23 receptions for 259 yards and one score.

Davis went to school at North Texas, where he made 428 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one interception, four pass deflections, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 61 games. Harrison attended Tennessee and put up 108 tackles and eight sacks in 47 career games.

Wieneke played just one season with the Riders and was on the field for six games. He caught 17 passes for 177 yards in the 2023.

Saskatchewan has extended six of the 30 players who are pending free agents for the Riders going into the offseason.
