Former Raiders and USC quarterback Todd Marinovich was arrested and cited for multiple offenses after being found naked and in possession of drugs on Friday night.

Marinovich was arrested in Irvine, Calif. after cops received reports about a naked man on a walking trail. Police found Marinovich naked in a stranger’s backyard. TMZ Sports says Marinovich was found with a brown bag nearby that had meth and marijuana, as well as the ex-QB’s ID.

Marinovich was arrested and cited for possession of a controlled substance, trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Marinovich lives in Irvine and has notoriously struggled with drugs since his high school days. A former star QB at Mater Dei in Orange County, Marinovich went on to start as a freshman at USC. He was selected in the first round by the Los Angeles Raiders but flamed out quickly due to multiple drug problems.

The lefty QB was arrested for cocaine possession in 1990 during his football days; pleaded guilty to growing marijuana at his home in 1997; was arrested on suspicion of heroin possession in 2000; was arrested in 2005 on drug possession charges; and he was arrested in possession of meth in 2007.

This story shares a glimpse of the difficult training standards his father forced upon him at a young age.
