Bledsoe injured his knee in the Suns' 111-104 Saturday night loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. It was a non-contact injury.
Initially, the Suns expected Bledsoe to miss about six weeks, but the team declared him out for the season after surgery. He is expected to be back to the start of training camp next fall.
Bledsoe, 26, had been averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 31 games on the season.
This is a huge blow for a Suns team looking to get out of a funk in a big way. Phoenix has lost five straight games and currently sit as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
