Ranking the potential 2017 NBA unrestricted free agents

With the NBA Playoffs in full swing and two teams already having their tickets to the conference finals punched, most franchises are already well into offseason planning. The following list features the 25 best potential unrestricted NBA free agents this offseason, headlined by some huge names.

25. Nene Hilario, C

Nene had a fine season off the bench for Houston, averaging 9.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in only 17.9 minutes per game. His season ended with a shoulder injury, and he's probably finished as a starter going on age 35.

24. Kyle Korver, SG

The sharpshooting Korver has been a fine role player for the Cavs after being acquired, shooting nearly 49 percent from three since the trade. At age 36, he will likely continue to be a role player next season.

23. Taj Gibson, PF

Traded from the Bulls to the Thunder this season, Gibson lost playing time following the trade but still averaged better than 10 points per game for the season. Shooting better than 50 percent again this year, Gibson will draw plenty of interest.

22. Nikola Mirotic, PF

Mirotic has been a strong contributor for the Bulls over the last three years. He averaged 10.6 points per game this season as mostly a bench player, adding 5.5 rebounds.

21. Andre Iguodala, SF

Iguodola has been a very important role player during Golden State's run of success. He averaged 7.6 points per game this season but could be looking for more playing time elsewhere.

20. Zach Randolph, PF

An oldie but goodie, Randolph started only five games this season but still averaged 14.1 points and 8.2 rebounds in just 24.5 minute per game. He should still have a market at age 36.

19. Derrick Rose, PG

Rose's season ended with a knee injury, though that's not really a new development for him. He played well in 64 games for the Knicks, averaging 18 points, but durability continues to be a huge issue.

18. Greg Monroe, C

Monroe didn't even start one game in Milwaukee this season, but he still had a productive year while averaging 22.5 minutes per game. He had 11.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He's likely looking for more playing time at age 27 next season. Monroe is signed for next season, but he holds a player option to become a UFA.

17. Rudy Gay, SF

Another guy with a player option, Gay played only 30 games this season due to a ruptured Achilles and is expected to opt out of his contract. The injury could hurt his market value, but he will still have plenty of suitors after averaging 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

16. J.J. Redick, SG

Redick is often overlooked as a key piece that the Clippers could lose this offseason. He averaged 15.0 points, shooting nearly 43 percent from three this season.

15. Dion Waiters, SG

Staying on the court has been an issue for Waiters, who played only 46 games in Miami this season. He's expressed his desire to remain in South Beach after averaging 15.8 points per game this season, though he does hold a player option.

14. Jeff Teague, PG

Teague had a great season with Indiana, averaging 15.3 points and 7.8 assists per game. He's been extremely durable during his career and will be just 29 going into next season.

13. George Hill, PG

Hill played only 49 games this season due to injuries but still had a big year for Utah when he was healthy. He averaged nearly 17 points per game and is still just 31 years old.

12. Serge Ibaka, PF

Traded from Orlando to Toronto in February, Ibaka fared well for both teams this season with nearly 15 points and seven rebounds per game. He spent the previous seven seasons of his career in Oklahoma City.

11. Danilo Gallinari, SF

Losing Gallinari would be a brutal loss for a Nuggets team that really can't afford to let quality players go. Gallinari averaged 18.3 points per game this season and holds a player option.

10. Jrue Holiday, PG

Durability continues to be an issue for Holiday, but he's still one of the top point guards in the league. He averaged 15.4 points and 7.3 assists for the Pelicans this season.

9. Pau Gasol, PF

Gasol is with his third team in four years, serving as a role player for the Spurs. Despite only 39 starts in 64 regular season games, he averaged 12.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

8. Dwyane Wade, SG

Would Wade make his Chicago homecoming only one season? The former Heat star had a disappointing ouster in the playoffs but still scored 18.3 points per games this season at age 35. He could opt out of his contract if he desires.

7. Paul Millsap, PF

Millsap has been excellent in his four seasons with the Hawks, most recently averaging 18.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. He's past his prime at age 32 but should still have plenty of life left.

6. Kyle Lowry, PG

Lowry has been in Toronto since 2012-13, making himself into a star during his tenure. He's averaged more than 21 points per game in each of the last two seasons, also averaging seven assists this year.

5. Blake Griffin, PF

Blake Griffin, PF

Like teammate Chris Paul, Griffin has a player option this offseason. Drafted first overall by the Clippers in 2009, Griffin average 21.6 points and 8.1 rebounds this season. He failed to play 70 games for the third straight season, however.

4. Chris Paul, PG

Would the Clippers let the catalyst of their big three walk? Probably not without a fight if he declines his player option. Paul has had a strong six-year run in L.A. despite a lack of great team success, most recently averaging 18.1 points and 9.2 assists per game.

3. Gordon Hayward, SF

After seven seasons in Utah, Hayward could be looking for a new home. He's coming off a career year, averaging 21.9 points and shooting better than 47 percent from the field.

2. Stephen Curry, PG

Curry failed to match his incredible 2015-16 numbers, but he still averaged 25.3 points per game and shot better than 41 percent from three this season. It doesn't sound likely that he will leave the Warriors.

1. Kevin Durant, SF

The prized free agent of last year's offseason, Durant has a player option. He averaged better than 25 points and eight rebounds per game this season but missed significant time to injury for the second time in three years.
