With the New York Knicks set to to take on the Brooklyn Nets Friday night, New York City is primed to see the first "battle of the boroughs" this season.

Wow, tell us how you really feel, Kristaps.
The 19-year-old Porzingis, who is off to a dazzling start to his NBA career, has already been embraced by Knicks fans, and a quote like this should only endear him more to of the orange and blue faithful.
Truth be told, the NBA is lacking in rivalries at the current moment, and anything to get another one going is good thing for basketball fans.
Porzingis is averaging 13.8 points and 9.3 rebounds so far this season for the 9-10 Knicks. Brooklyn sits at 5-13, the second worst record in the Eastern Conference, ahead of only the Philadelphia 76ers.
