The Cubs announced Monday that they’ve designated infielder Andrew Romine for assignment in order to open a spot on the active roster for fellow infielder David Bote.
In case you haven’t noticed lately, there are quite a few new faces on the field lately for the Chicago Cubs. Coming into their series against the Chicago White Sox, I’ll admit, I was nervous.
Bote will certainly be placed on the 10-day injured list before Sunday’s game, and a trip to the 60-day IL could be a distinct possibility depending on the severity of the separation.
